Our children and youth are a continuing source of joy in our congregation. We take seriously the task of providing them a religious education that grounds them in our Unitarian Universalist faith; teaches about other religions; provides a safe community of all ages that sends the clear message to them that they are loved; and provides paths to spiritual growth and service to the larger community. We are so grateful for the leadership of our Director of Religious Education, Melissa MacKinnon, who brings this program together so successfully. Our Religious Education Council also takes significant leadership in providing our children and youth with what it means to be in a multigenerational community with a strong message of love and hope.
A true religious education requires so much of all of us – and also gives the whole church avenues of learning, spiritual growth, and service. We are blessed to find that program in our midst.
