At First Unitarian Society of Schenectady, there are many ways that we gather together in community: with our families, with our spouses and partners, and as individual adults. The variety of activities offers a great chance to get to know one another. Please come.

To learn about many of these activities, please read our monthly Circles newsletter. Or subscribe to our weekly Circuits E-mail Update and to our monthly Circles newsletter.

If you enjoy what you see, please consider joining us and becoming a member!

  • First Unitarian Society of Schenectady offers a variety of family activities, including children & youth. Some activities are targeted especially for families; some focus on the entire FUSS Family of members and friends.

Some activities are spiritual; some are just-plain-fun. Singing, dancing, eating, partying, working together, we enjoy our FUSS community. We hope one of these activities will encourage you to come.

  • First Unitarian Society of Schenectady (FUSS) members & friends participate in a variety of adult social and religious education activities to encourage the building of a Community within the congregation. Childcare is provided at many adult events to encourage the participation of parents who might otherwise find it too difficult to attend.

Information on these activities may be obtained by contacting a member of the council or by stopping by the APC table at the rear of the Great Hall after the Sunday morning service. Information is also included in the Circles monthly newsletter and in Circuits, the weekly E-mail update. Please subscribe.

  • First Unitarian Society of Schenectady (FUSS) cares about its children. We encourage families to come to FUSS for spiritual as well as non-spiritual fun.

  • Several groups at First Unitarian Society of Schenectady (FUSS) bring women together for community, activities and service.

There are two Women's Alliance Groups. The original Women's Alliance meets during the day. The Evening Branch of the Women's Alliance (EBWA) meets evenings. Women are encouraged to join using the Alliance Membership Form; member names and information are gathered in an Alliance directory that is distributed to members.

  • First Unitarian Society of Schenectady (FUSS) men gather together for community. There are two Men's groups: one meets for lunch, the other meets evenings.
