First Unitarian Society of Schenectady is a member congregation in the Unitarian Universalist Association, and participates in the St. Lawrence Unitarian Universalist District.
The Unitarian Universalist Association publishes an excellent monthly magazine, UU World. Now much of the content of UU World is available online at uuworld.org. Highly recommended! UU RADIO PROJECT -- Rev. Carl Thitchener writes: Bert Christensen, of the First Unitarian Congregation of Toronto, maintains an attractive gallery of photos of UU churches (including some photos of the First Unitarian Society of Schenectady). Other UU churches in our area include: The Schenectady Digital History Archive service, provided by Schenectady County Public Library, has a page listing churches in Schenectady County. Interfaith Impact of New York State is a coalition of progressive people of faith throughout New York State. The Harvard Square Library website hosts a collection of more than 100 illustrated online biographies of notable American Unitarians. Among them is a fascinating look at William David Coolidge, inventor, physicist, research director of the GE Research Laboratory, and member of the First Unitarian Society of Schenectady. |
